Annual Trip by train to Barry Island

Taking a local train under the River Severn, we spend 5 hours on the beach soaking up the kind sunshine just before the start of a new school year.
While there we build sand sculptures, dig deep for water, take a swim in the sea, tug of war, cricket and fly kites, before sharing a few bags of chips and going on the dodgems at the fun fair.
For some it is the first time they have tried to swim.
